This job had two things going on - new ceiling fans the customer had already picked out and purchased, plus an outdated sub panel that needed to be brought up to code. Both are the kind of work that looks simple on the surface but needs to be done correctly or it becomes a real problem down the road.

The sub panel swap is the part most homeowners don't think about until something goes wrong. Old panels that aren't up to current code can create fire hazards, trip breakers constantly, or simply not handle the load demands of a modern home. We replaced the outdated unit with a clean Siemens panel and labeled every circuit - lights and outlets, dryer circuits, water heater - so everything is clearly documented and easy to work with going forward.

The ceiling fan installs were customer-supplied Hampton Bay units, and we handled the full installation in multiple rooms. Getting a ceiling fan mounted and wired properly matters more than people realize. A fan that isn't secured to the right kind of brace or isn't wired cleanly is a safety issue, not just an inconvenience.

The finished fans sit flush and solid, with the integrated light kits wired in and everything balanced. Clean work that you won't have to think about again. That's really the goal with any electrical job - you do it right once and the homeowner doesn't need to call anyone back.

Whether it's a ceiling fan installation, an electrical panel upgrade, or tracking down something that just isn't working the way it should, the details matter. Code compliance, clean labeling, proper mounting - those aren't extras, they're the baseline.
