A lot of homeowners don't think twice about their grill until they need an extension cord running across the patio just to power it. That's not safe, and it's not up to code. We got called out to fix exactly that - a customer who wanted a dedicated outlet right where their grill lives, done properly.

What makes an outdoor install like this different from a standard indoor outlet job is the attention to weatherproofing. You need the right enclosure, the right conduit, and it all has to be mounted correctly against whatever surface you're working with. Cinder block walls like this one don't forgive sloppy work - everything has to be secured tight and routed cleanly.

We used a weatherproof in-use cover, which is the bubble-style cover that stays sealed even when something is plugged in. That matters a lot outdoors. Rain, humidity, and dust are all real concerns when you're running electrical on an exterior wall. Rigid metal conduit carries the wiring from the outlet to the source, keeping everything protected and code-compliant.

The result is a setup the customer can actually rely on - no extension cords, no guesswork, no risk. Just a properly placed outlet ready to power their grill every time they need it. That's the difference between a rushed job and work done the right way.
