This was a fun one. A pickleball facility in Sun City West needed their covered outdoor pavilion to actually work for people year-round - not just when the weather cooperates. That meant adding real power to the space. Ceiling fans, can lights, outlets, and heaters all had to come together in a clean, functional way.
Outdoor spaces like this are tricky. You're dealing with open-air exposure, high ceilings, and the need for everything to look intentional - not like it was just tacked on. We installed multiple large-blade ceiling fans across the entire ceiling span, making sure airflow reaches every corner of the seating area. During an Arizona summer, that's not a luxury. It's a necessity.
The recessed lighting installation ties everything together up top. Clean, evenly spaced can lights give the space solid illumination without cluttering the ceiling. Paired with the fans and pendant-style heaters, the whole ceiling setup works as a system - comfortable in summer, usable when temperatures drop in the evening.
We also added outlets and the infrastructure to make sure everything is powered correctly and safely. No shortcuts. When you're wiring a community space that sees heavy daily use, the work has to hold up. Clean installs, properly rated components for outdoor use, and everything done to code.
Spaces like this bring people together. The goal was simple - make sure the electrical side of things never gets in the way of that. Whether it's a pickleball club, a community rec area, or your own backyard, getting the power right is what lets you actually enjoy the space.
