Sometimes a workspace just doesn't work the way it should - not because of the equipment, but because of where things ended up electrically. That was the situation here. The customer had a Skutt kiln that needed proper 240V power, but the outlet wasn't in a usable spot. On top of that, the step-down transformer needed to be relocated to make the whole setup cleaner and safer.
We moved the transformer to a better position along the wall, then relocated the 240V outlet so it actually lines up with where the kiln needs to be. No more awkward cord runs, no guessing whether the power is right for the equipment. Just a clean, functional setup that makes sense for how the space gets used.
We also pulled out old communication wiring that had been sitting in the space doing nothing. Dead wiring like that doesn't just look messy - it can create confusion during future work and, in some cases, a safety concern. Clearing it out gave the whole area a much cleaner baseline.
The difference between a workspace that frustrates you and one that just works often comes down to a few targeted changes. Knowing what to move, what to clean up, and how to do it correctly - that's where having the right electrician matters. Small scope doesn't mean low stakes, especially when specialized equipment like a kiln is involved.
